Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa 
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar (or maple syrup)
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup water (or milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Sift together the flour, cocoa, soda and salt.  

Cream together the sugar, mayonnaise, water and vanilla.  

Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture; stir until well blended.  

Pour into a greased and floured layer cake pan (or 9x13 pan).  

Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes.  Frost if you like, but good plain.
